Captain Jack, a U.S.C.G. licensed Master Captain, owns the only boating school in New Jersey that offers both New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate classes and U.S.C.G. Captain’s License courses. He is an approved course provider and instructor for the New Jersey State Marine Police Boating Safety Certificate classes and an approved instructor for the U.S.C.G. OUPV (6-pack) Captain’s License, 100-Ton Masters and 200-Ton Towing upgrade courses. Captain Jack is also a Certified marine mechanics instructor and a National Safety Council Certified CPR/First Aid/AED instructor.

Captain Vinny

Captain Vinny

Captain Vinny is a U.S.C.G. licensed OUPV captain and a NJ State Marine Police approved Boating Safety Certificate class instructor with First Aid and CPR training.  He has a BS in Environmental Science and has been the President of the Raritan Bay Anglers Club for the past 9 years.  Captain Vinny has been fishing the Raritan Bay for over 40 years and runs Morning Dew Charters (https://www.morningdewfishing.com).

Captain Janet holds a U.S.C.G. Master Captain’s License with Towing and Sailing endorsements.  She is an approved instructor for the New Jersey State Marine Police Boating Safety Certificate classes and an approved instructor for the U.S.C.G. OUPV (6-pack) Captain’s License, 100-Ton Masters and 200-Ton Towing upgrade courses.  She has a PhD in Applied Management and Decision Sciences.  Captain Janet has over 30 years of boating and sailing experience and provides on-the-water training, sailing instruction, boat relocation, and boat deliveries through her company, Nautical Freedom.

Captain Russ

Captain Russ

Captain Russ has maritime experience as both a USCG Master Mariner and as a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Captain Russ retired from the New Jersey State Police as a station commander in the Marine Bureau, where he was responsible for the marine traffic on the waterways from Trenton, NJ to Cape May, NJ. After retiring as a Lieutenant, Captain Russ worked as a maritime contractor in Iraq under a contract with the State Department. He also gained valuable experience when he worked with members of the US Navy’s Riverine Unit on the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. After returning, Captain Russ worked as a commercial captain in Little River, SC and yacht delivery captain. Captain Russ is a vendor for MarineMax and holds a 100 ton Near Coastal Mariners License from the US Coast Guard.
